 Ingredients:

  • 1 kg potatoes

  • 100 g Western Star Original Salted Butter, diced

  • 1/2 cup warm milk

  • Salt and pepper to taste

 Method:

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes into large chunks. Place them in a medium saucepan and cover with cold water.

  2. Boil the Potatoes: Bring the water to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for 20-25 minutes or until the potatoes are fork-tender.

  3. Drain and Mash: Drain the potatoes and return them to the dry pan. Shake the pan occasionally to remove excess moisture. Mash the potatoes while they are still warm and stir in ¾ of the butter.

  4. Incorporate the Milk: Gradually add the warm milk, beating with a wooden spoon until the potatoes reach a smooth, creamy consistency.

  5. Season and Serve: Add salt and pepper to taste, then serve immediately with the remaining butter melted on top for extra richness.
